ABOUT ME
PORTFOLIO
I am a Graphic Design student entering my last year at Anne Arundel Community College, seeking a graphic design internship for the summer of 2018. From a very early age it was clear that drawing was one of my strong suits and my parents always encouraged me to do what I love. I discovered graphic design in high school when I decided to pursue a career in the art field, from there I developed my skills in the form of college projects and personal art pieces. I've always been called a natural what it comes to art and design however I feel as though my abilities are a product of good teaching. I am currently learning basic HTML, CSS, UX/UI and I'm enjoying it immensely, though I still feel as though my heart lies with graphic design. While Illustrator has become my favorite Adobe program, I also have knowledge in Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver. I am friendly, fun-loving, creative, and ready to learn. I currently live in Pasadena, MD and I am able to commute to the Baltimore-Washington area.

This portrait of Frida Kahlo was created using over 150 individual shapes all made using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. Each color is sampled from a reference image, A color photo of Frida Kahlo.

This piece was originally painted in black ink on paper, I created a vector image in Illustrator using the pen tool to clean it up a bit more. The idea behind a shadow study was to essentially paint the shadows being cast onto the model. The eye I used as a model was a small sculpture from the prop closet in the art building on campus. My personal favorite thing about this piece is that when people see it for the first time they have no clue what it is, and that "ah ha!" moment they have.

The objective for this project was to create the fronts of two dollar bills that could be used as a world currency and to have a theme for them. I chose endangered birds of the world as the subject of my project. The top bill is a California Condor and the bottom bill is a Spoon-Billed Sandpiper.
